10 keys To Unlocking Your Super Brain

Memory is not fixed.
1/3 is your genetics.
2/3 is completely in your control. Control your lifestyle.

Common sense is not often common practice.
What area are you neglecting?

1) Brain Diet

Certain foods are very good for your brain that help you focus and help you remember things.
Ex. Blueberries, avocado, wild salmon, water, and dark chocolate.
Other foods you need to avoid that make you distracted, more hyperactive, and deter clear thinking.

You are what you eat.
Good foods = Improve your memory
Bad Foods = Determent to your memory

2) Killing A.N.T.S

Self talk is the program your brain going to run. If you have a negative thought say I’m not great at _____ yet.

A – Automatic
N – Negative
T – Thoughts

Mind is always eavesdropping on your self-talk.

3) Exercise

Brain primary function is to control your movement. As you create more blood flow you create more oxygen to your brain.

Anything good for your heart is good for you head.

Exercise = Better focus, mental acuity & better memory.

4) Brain Nutrients

Certain nutrients are very good for your brain to be optimized and work at top speed and function.
Ex. B Vitamins, Omega 3

Brain Nutrients = Need nutrients for brain to function.

5) Positive Peer Group

You are the average of the people you spend the most time with. Who you spend time with is who you become.

Two Kinds of people – Like toys
(+) Battery included – Encouraging, challenging you, educating you and holding you to a higher standard.
(-) Batteries not included – Draining your energy & Vitality. These are negative people.

6) Clean Environment

When you clean your environment you feel better and have an organized mind.

Clean Environment = Better focus & clearer thinking.

As you clear on the outside you clear on the inside.

7) Sleep

Having better memory means you have to optimize your sleep.

Sleepiness = Neglecting your super brain.
Good sleep = Allows brain to rest. Also it clears your brain of plaque that can lead to dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Sleep consolidates short to long-term memory.

8) Brain Protection

Head trauma, falls and concussions has a great impact on your learning ability.

Protect your brain with brain protection.
Avoid extreme sports where you could injure yourself.

9) New Learnings

You can think of learning as life fuel. The benefit is you live longer.

Consistency is power. Learn every day.

Learning everyday = You build up your fuel. It builds your acuity & longevity.
Stop learning = Your fuel decreases. Your brain starts dying.

Ex. Nuns mentally super active there whole life and it added to there longevity.

Lifelong learning adds years to your life and life to your years.

Stress Management

The supervillain to your brain is stress. This shuts down part of your brain and you forget things. You create qurtersal and adrenaline.

When you fear something It becomes self fulfilling.
Ex. Fear of Giving a speech- Stress you feel when you are fearful creates the forgetful fullness that your afraid of.

Stress = Shuts down your brain.

You can manage your stress with message, yoga, meditation and mindfulness training
